Home, sweet home

So, I'm in DC for the weekend cause a friend of mine got back from a tour in Afghanistan and also cause I haven't been home since June. This friend of mine, Cory, bought us a spot in the back of a bar in Adam's Morgan, Tom Tom's, for 2.5 hours on Friday night. Free domestic bottles and well drinks for that time period (well free for us, he paid for it). Also, he decided that it would be a themed night, so we all came dressed up. It was a good time. I felt pretty weird walking up Adam's Morgan all dressed up, but whatever, it was pretty sweet.

Today, I went to Cirque du Soleil - Kooza with my mom and my friend Danny. It was AWESOME. I first went to Cirque du Soleil about 12 years ago, so I barely remember it, but I remember it being pretty sweet, so I was really excited to go this time. It certainly lived up to those memories. I've been to a Barnum and Bailey's Circus before...that is not even close to as good as Cirque du Soleil. These people are ridiculous! There were these 3 girls doing crazy things with their bodies, climbing all over each other. A ridiculous juggler. A trapese artist. A guy who managed to steal all of an audience member's belongings without him noticing. Man, it was fantastic. I'd love to go to another show.

Afterwards we went to Brickskeller for dinner. It's a great restaurant in Dupont Circle that has a selection of, I kid you not, 1000 beers. I love it. And now I'm off to Adam's Morgan again for another hard night of partying. Man, I love DC.
