Ugh, sick!

So, this morning I had a bit of a scratchy/sore throat, so I decided I needed a day off from work. I was just gonna lounge around and relax. However, at around 2:00 it started getting worse. I started sneezing, my throat started getting more sore and scratchy and I was feeling tired. 7:00 comes around, and now I have a bit of a fever. This wasn't supposed to happen!!! I had some soup for lunch and a sub (from Say Cheese, yum!) for dinner. I've also been drinking glass after glass of water. I wish I had gotten some orange juice, though...I hope when I wake up tomorrow I will be back to 100%.

In other news, I finished brewing my first batch of beer, and I've already started on my second batch, which is going to be an Australian Pale Ale. The second batch is already bottled and should be ready to transfer to a cooler environment on Sunday. This weekend, by buddy Chris and I are going to attempt to make some hard Apple Cider. It should be fun.

This past weekend, I went to an Ultimate Frisbee tournament with some fellow alumni. It was in Shippensburg, PA and the winners of the tournament would get steak. This was our primary motivation for going. We had about 13 guys going and some of us hadn't really played in 6+ months...not to mention not doing any sort of sprinting either. Needless to say, at the end of Saturday, I was hurting everywhere. And on Sunday morning, it hurt to walk, and I still had another 6 hours of Ultimate to play. However, we did end up winning the whole thing, so it was totally worth it. The steak was delicious. All in all, it was a good time. Got to catch up with some people I haven't seen in a long time and had a good time. Monday morning, however, was the worst. It took me a good 30 minutes to walk to work because I had to go extra slow because I couldn't take big steps without hurting myself. I think this means I need to get out to the track more to make sure this doesn't happen again.

I also came up with a name for my first batch of beer: "Numero Uno en Japones" because I'm told it tastes like Ichiban. Bonus points if you get it.
