H-hello?

Back by popular demand (aka Danny), I am updating this thing.

Where to start...

I guess the biggest news is that I'm going to be moving back to DC by the end of July. Sooner, if I get a job by then. Otherwise, if I don't get a job, I'll be living at my dad's house until I do. I've been applying for jobs in addition to creating a profile on monster.com. I immediately started getting calls from recruiters in the Pittsburgh area, which I didn't want...so I had to change the address in my resume to my dad's, so that they would think I'm in DC even though it says I'm looking for a job in the DC area.

Last week, I started getting calls from recruiters in the DC area, but nothing has really panned out yet. I got two more calls today that I need to get back to...probably tomorrow. I really wish I could hear back from the places I actually applied to, as those are the ones that I am most interested in and think I qualify the most for. I hate the waiting game.

One of the issues I have is that if I do end up moving in with my dad for a bit, I'll have to find somewhere for my cats, since my dad is allergic.

I'm not too worried about not having a job, since I have a good amount of money saved up and it will allow me the time to learn some new things that will increase my marketability (a lot of the places I've looked at want Java and web developers). But having a job and an apartment in the DC area would be pretty sweet.

The warm weather has started, and that means I get to bike to work. It's awesome. Spring and Summer are so much nicer than some of Fall and Winter. Everything is just so much more pleasant. Plus, nothing beats sitting outside on a patio or porch drinking a nice cold pint of beer, chatting with friends.

Well, that's all I've got. I'll see if I can keep this updated more regularly.

Yeah, that must be pretty nice. I just make it a habit to check it every day during my morning routine.
