See, what I did there was take 3 television shows and made them into one long title. Clever, right? Anyway...So yeah, recently I've been watching a lot of TV cause I've been bored a lot. Usually there is a lot of crap on TV before primetime, so I was getting pretty desperate in searching for new shows to watch.
NCIS was the first one that I started watching. It stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which is a service that investigates crimes related to the Navy (and Marines)...sorry. It's basically like any other crime drama, though it also throws in some comedic elements into the mix.
There are 4 members of the NCIS team as well as a couple of supporting members which include Abby, the forensic expert who seems to be gothic and is played by Pauley Perrette (according to her Wiki page, she's 39 but she looks like she could be 25. It was mind boggling when I found out), and Ducky, the Chief Medical Examiner, who examines the dead bodies and provides meaningful incite. He's also Scottish, though he speaks with an English accent...but whatever. Ducky is his nickname. His actual name is Donald Mallard...hence Ducky.
One of the team members is played by Michael Weatherly from Dark Angel fame. He is my favorite character on the show.
I had watched a week's worth of episodes (2 a day for 5 days) when I saw an episode where one of the team members died (not Michael Weatherly). I've gotta say, I don't think I've ever been so close to crying because of something that happened on a TV show. That episode was very well done, I must say.
Anyway, it's my new favorite show and I'm super happy it's on twice in a row at a time where there is nothing else on.
The other two shows I got hooked on for a bit (not so much anymore) were CSI: Crime Scene Investigations and Law and Order: SVU. CSI captivated me for a while, but I eventually got bored of it. Law and Order: SVU lasted a little longer, but there's only so many times you can watch a show about cops investigating molested children before you sorta get disgusted with the whole thing. It's horrifying sometimes thinking about the kinds of things that happen, and I guess that's what they're trying to evoke...but still.
Now that Fall has started, there are TONS of shows to watch almost every day of the week. I dunno if I can keep up with all the new episodes of: Heroes, House, NCIS, Chuck, Fringe, The Office, and Life not to mention all the football I've been watching thanks to the fantasy league I am in.

Maybe instead of watching TV you can go to the gym and do something PRODUCTIVE. Way to make yourself look like a couch potato on your blog.
Milo, I totally support your tv watching habits. In fact, I tivo SVU so I salute you. Quarters this weekend? This is Kristin btw.
Every time you say we're going to play quarters, it never happens. This weekend is no good...unless it happens on sunday.
