I've been on vacation for 3 days now and I am exhausted. Saturday I spent a big portion of my day traveling to the airport, waiting for the plane to take off, and then driving from the airport. I actually spent more time traveling to and from airports than I did on the actual plane. I then had dinner with my dad and immediately left to participate in a surprise birthday party. It was very well planned by my friend's (the one who the birthday party was for) girlfriend. She sent out invites on facebook weeks ago and kept us all updated on the plans. He worked till 7, which was a bit early for the party, so she got Cory to take him out for drinks until we had sufficient people to successfully yell "Surprise!" So he showed up around 9:30 and we all hid in the kitchen and yelled surprise when he came in. So, we all got drunk and I saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen in ages. Good times. Got home around 3 or so and got up at 8:30...stupid job making my internal clock misbehave!
On Sunday, I went over to Cory's house for some Sunday football. The Steeler's loss was unfortunate, but the Redskins win was good, even though it was a pretty ugly game for both teams. Then I went to dinner with my mom and then immediately left for another birthday party. This one didn't last as long, but it was a great time. Went to bed at 1:30 and woke up at 7...ugh.
Today, I went with my dad to Fidelity Investments to open up a Roth IRA. Can't start saving for retirement too early! I'll be putting in the maximum contribution just in time for the end of the year and then setting it so every month I'll put in 1/12 of the maximum contribution. I'll probably get obsessed with checking how well my retirement fund is doing, but I'm sure that'll get old. I've also thought about investing in some stocks, cause a buddy of mine from work has been on this stock craze, and it's getting contagious. I'll just talk to my dad about it since he's an expert on the subject (it's how I got through college with no loans).
I also picked up my sister from the train station and we've been bonding all afternoon/evening. We ate pizza from our favorite pizza place, watched a cute movie, started reading web comics together, and now she's baking me chocolate chip cookies!!! My favorite!!! Time to pig out...I'll probably eat half the batch and make myself sick...but it is sooooo worth it.

Just FYI Papa's not an expert on stocks. He's only ever invested in mutual funds, not individual stocks. So he's an expert on that, but that doesn't mean he knows about investing in individual stocks. From what I've heard it takes a lot of research to invest in stocks, but this is definitely the climate to do it in because chances are a lot of stocks are undervalued due to fright that the businessed might go out of business.
